Intense cold wave conditions prevail in Himachal Pradesh

Intense cold wave conditions prevail in tribal areas and higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh. Kangra and surrounding areas received light rainfall yesterday while strong winds lashed higher hills causing marginal drop in mercury. The minimum temperatures settled below 5 degrees Celsius at several places. Keylong recorded the temperature at minus 7.6 degrees while Kalpa recorded minus 1.8 degrees.
The MeT office in Shimla has predicted rains or thundershowers at isolated places in lower hills and rains or snow at some places in mid and higher hills today.
Rain or thundershowers are predicted today at isolated places over Marathwada and Vidarbha. Dry weather is likely to prevail over Konkan, Goa and Madhya Maharasthra.
Heavy rain or thunder squall at isolated places is predicted over Kerala and Lakshadweep.
