Resignation of businessmen crosses 100, agitated over President
Jagdalpur, March 17: The members of Bastar Chamber of Commerce anger against its president has spread which has led to resignation of more than 100 members, while they are demanding his expulsion.
On single day, around 70 members put their resignation papers. These members are from Jadalpur town and Farsagaon. As per reports more members are likely to put down their papers and the papers have raised six points to register their anger.
The points stated that controversial working of the president and against the interests of business along with politicization of the organization. The members had raised the president also tip-toeing lines of administrative officers and the president Rishi Hemani, had took the matter of members, instead of resolving it to the police station, which had caused resentment. The members had also alleged that president is utilizing the post for his personal gains while few members are actually in control of the organization.
It is said that Bastar Chamber of Commerce was considered as a powerful body and voice of the business community as well as the public. But the issue of ego is pushing it down to a corner of non-existence with its members had started to resign, questioning will it survive the storm.
It is said that Chamber had resolved many major problems while it has given a new direction to the politics of Bastar with positivity. Prem Mahavar, Ramgopal Mahavar, Triloki Nath Agrawal, Pukhraj Bothra, Keshrichand Parakh, Santosh Jain, Karsandas Hemani were presidents who carried the post with dignity and brought laurel to the organization.
One of the groups had captured the whole functioning after which the dissent started. One side the businessmen are resigning while the president could be seen urging the members to take back their resignation. Even after turmoil, the president is not ready to quit the post.
