Day 3 ends, RanchiTest: India 360/6 trail by 91 runs
Ranchi, March 18: India were 360 for 6 on the third day of Ranchi Cricket Test in reply to Australia’s 451 in first innings when stumps were drawn today. Cheteswar Pujara on 130 and Wridhdhiman Saha on 18 were at the crease. Today’s hero, Pujara scored his 11th century in his 47th Test match.
Openers KL Rahul and Murli Vijay contributed significantly scoring 67 and 82 respectively.
Captain Virat Kohli, however, failed to deliver once again as he was out for 6 in post-lunch session today. Kohli, who went off the field on the first day due to an injury and did not field the whole of second day yesterday, had scored 0, 13, 12, 15 in the four innings of the earlier two Tests.
For the visitors, Cummins took 4 wickets, while Hazelwood and Keefe shares a wicket each.
