Intense cold wave conditions prevail in Himachal Pradesh

Intense cold wave conditions prevailed in mid and higher hills of Himachal Pradesh as high-altitude tribal areas experienced moderate snowfall. The MeT department said, snow and rains also occurred at isolated places in mid and lower hills yesterday. Kalpa and Khadrala received 2 cm of fresh snow and the sky remained partially overcast. Night temperatures remained low, with Keylong recording minus 5.4 degrees Celsius, and Kalpa minus 2.4 degrees. The MeT office has predicted rains or snow at isolated places in mid and lower hills from Tuesday onwards due to fresh western disturbance in the region.
