Catholic priest of Indian heritage stabbed at Melbourne church

In Australia, a Catholic priest of Indian heritage has been stabbed in the neck at a church in Melbourne. Father Tomy Kalathoor Mathew was attacked at St Matthew’s Parish in Fawkner by a 72-year old man who told him that because he was an Indian, he must be a Hindu or a Muslim and therefore unqualified to say mass. As per information received, Father Mathew’s condition is stable. The offender has been arrested and charged.
