Police held four with 2 quintal cannabis

With the arrest of four persons, police claimed to have busted an interstate gang of cannabis peddler and recovered over 2 quintal of cannabis in Chhattisgarh’s naxal-hit Kondagaon district, police said today. http://bit.ly/Clipper28App
According to police, acting on a precise tip-off, a police team swung into action and intercepted a SUV (bearing registration number CG 12 D-1418) and seized over 2 quintal cannabis. In connection with peddling of cannabis, police have nabbed four persons identified as Tarun Kumar Yadav (32), Vinod Kumar Yadav (23), Manoj Kumar Yadav (23) and Ghanshyam Banjare (22). During the course of interrogation, the arrested peddlers have revealed of procuring cannabis from Malkangiri, Odisha. http://bit.ly/Clipper28App
The estimated market value of seized cannabis would be around Rs 10 lakh, police said.
In this connection, police have registered a case under relevant sections of Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act, police said, adding that further investigation in the case is underway.
