Dhamtari boy topped 10th board

Chetan Agrawal of Kiran Public Higher Secondary School (Kurud), Dhamtari district topped 10th board examination hosted by Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE).
Around 4.11 lakh students were appeared in the examination, whose result was declared today by School Education Minister Kedar Kashyap, of which 61 percent students managed to clear the examination (this is six percent more than the result of last year). As per information received, passing percentage of boys was 62.06 percent while the number of girls was 59.86 percent.
Releasing the result of 10th board, Kashyap congratulated the students who have passed the examination. Meanwhile, the minister also advised students, who have failed in the exam not to get disheartened, instead prepare for exam with hard work and dedication.

As per information received from CGBSE, Vinita Patel of Saraswati Shishu Mandir (Bilaspur) secured second place with 97.67percent, third place was jointly held by three students with 97.33 percent including Karan Sahu (of government higher secondary school Guma Raipur), Dewashish Patel (S S Kalibadi Higher Secondary School) and Aman Kumar (Mohit Higher Secondary School, Janjgir-Champa) while Mahendra Kumar Behra (Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Jashpur) clinched fourth place with 97.17 percent. The fifth place was jointly held by four students with 97 percent which include Lucky Dewangan (Government Higher Secondary School of Durg), Vivek Kumar Ratrey (Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Janjgir), Yogendra Verma (Maharana Pratap Higher Secondary School, Mungeli) and Suraj Kumar Prajapati (Jindal Adarsh Higher Secondary School, Raigarh).
