Great occasion for learning, discovering: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, he will interact with the youngsters at the Smart India Hackathon today. In a series of tweets, Mr Modi said it will be a very refreshing and extensive exchange of ideas. He also said the Smart India Hackathon 2017 showcases the skills and intelligence of country’s youth and is a great occasion for learning and discovering.

Mr. Modi will address the students at 10 pm.The event is intended for promoting innovation, out-of-the-box thinking in young minds, especially engineering students. It is focused on the problems of social importance as identified by 29 Ministries and departments. The event was declared open today in Mumbai by Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javdekar. Around 32,000 engineering students from different institutes across the country are participating in this 36 hour event which is being organised in different cities of the country.

Addressing the participants, Mr. Javdekar said, innovation is the only way to attain sustainable prosperity. He said, we are now into a digital age and the capacity to absorb technology by Indians is amazing, this is what he termed as New India.

HRD Minister said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been seen emphasising more on Innovation and Investment, because these are the basic things which will help India prosper.
