Hyderabad Thump Delhi By 15 Runs
Thanks to Kane Williamson and Shikhar Dhawan’s heroics, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) posted a competitive total of 191/4 against Delhi Daredevils (DD) in Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium at Hyderabad in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match on Wednesday. After the early loss of skipper David Warner, Williamson and Dhawan picked up pace and built a crucial 136-run partnership to give the home team a solid platform for a big total. Williamson and Dhawan’s 89 and 70 runs, respectively, spiked up Delhi bowlers’ economy rate. However, Chris Morris’ 4/26 in his four overs helped Delhi peg Hyderabad back, halting the orange army from posting a 200-over total. Zaheer Khan missed out on his 100th IPL wicket and Yuvraj Singh, who is playing his 200th T20 match, made only three. It will be interesting to see the chase of the visiting team keeping in mind the fiery form of SRH bowlers.
