International Tennis event in Bhilai from March 6: Sisodia

Raipur, February 28: International Tennis Tournament ITF Futures Mens 15000 US Dollar event would be held at Bhilai from March 6 while All India Veteran 35+, 45+, 55+ would commence from March 20, announced Chhattisgarh State Tennis Association president Vikram Singh Sisodia.

He was addressing the five days All India Tennis Tournament Girls and Boys under 14/16 Championship Series organised at VIP Club, Shankar Nagar, Raipur.

The event would conclude on March 1 and organised by All India Tennis Federation and hosted by Chhattisgarh State Tennis Association.

Five days competition is participated by players from Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujrat, Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and host Chhattisgarh.

During the inaugural session along with Sisodia, general secretary Gurucharan Singh Hora, VIP Club chairman Rakesh Pandey and treasurer Lawrence Santiyago were present.

The result on Tuesday’s matches are boys under 14 singles: Rahul Ravi (Maha) beat Anand Marathe beat 9-3, Lekh Bisen (MP) beat Vayam Krishna (AP) 9-4, Angrah Ganguli (Maha) beat Rajeshwar Reddy (Telangana) 9-1, C A Reddy (Tel) beat Jyotriaditya Mishra (UP), Vardhan Kakral (Mah), Amitesh Saxena (Kar), D Arya Swami (Odisha) beat Siddarth Rao (CG), Manuvendra Rawat (Guj) beat Bijnesh Nand, Manvendra Rawat (Guj) beat among others to reach pre-quarter final.

Girls Under 14 singles Chahna Budhbatti (Mah) beat Shravani Dudulkar (Mah), Kotisha Modhak (Mah), Angel Jhamnani (Mah), Maahi Pattavi (CG), Simran Ahmed, Paakhi Bhatt (CG), Vaibhavi Saxena reached pre-quarter-final by beating respective players.

Similarly, in under 16 boys Mohit Bondre (Guj) Ayushman Arjariya (MP), Bhurugesh Bondre and Shaurya Manik (CG) entered quarter-final while in under 16 girls A Dharna Mudiliyar, Sai Resham of AP entered the quarter-final.
