Trump accuses Obama of wire tapping

US President Donald Trump has accused his predecessor Barack Obama of wire tapping his office in New York just before the 2016 presidential elections.
Trump also likened the alleged surveillance of his communications to the Watergate scandal. Obama’s spokesperson Kevin Lewis rejected the allegations and said the former US president never ordered surveillance on any US citizen.
Trump made the allegations in a series of tweets, but did not provide any evidence to substantiate his claims.
