We don’t deserve to win, if we play like this: Virat
Royal Challengers Bangalore, which is fans’ favorite to win the IPL and cleared all obstacles but one in the form of Sunrisers Hyderabad when they lost the IPL final to them last year, was expected that they will show their champions resolve but they failed to do so in their first five games as they lost four out of them. So much for a star-studded lineup. Add to that ABD’s injury woes and RCB seem in deep trouble, forget winning the IPL, it doesn’t seem like they’ll even qualify for this year’s playoff if things go the same way.
Virat Kohli wasn’t happy with their last performance and said, “we don’t deserve to win.”
The game is a crucial one for both of the sides as they both are desperate for a win. RCB won only one of their first five as Gujarat Lions won one of their first four.
In the match against Kings XI Punjab, it was seen that ABD was recapturing the old form but this recent news came as a huge blow to RCB’s hopes.
However, the type of injury remains unclear. They are a team in desperate need for a win to get their season back on track. Virat Kohli was very disappointed after the loss.
“If we play like this, we don’t deserve to win. The last game, we fought hard. Today we let the game go away right in front of our eyes. We have a few things to address. We can’t think we can sweep sides away at home,”
“Last year, we had to win four out of four to qualify but that can’t happen every time. As professional cricketers, you’re playing for a franchise, you are playing in front of a lot of people, we can’t keep doing this. Hopefully, we can turn things around and the players can take the responsibility.”
