Amit Shah Rules Out Talks With Pak

Amit Shah, the union home minister, today ruled out discussions with Pakistan and said that elections in Jammu and Kashmir would take place shortly. Speaking to a sizable gathering in Baramulla, Kashmir, Shah said, “I assure you that free and fair elections would be held in J&K once revision of revision of electoral records is finished.”

By November 25, the electoral rolls’ updating, which began in August, should be complete. There was rumour that the election, which would be the first since 2014, would take place after the winter thaw.

After the state of Kashmir was divided into two Union Territories and the constitution’s special status for the region was revoked, this was Shah’s first public gathering there.

Amit Shah commented that he was warned no one would attend his event while thousands were transported in buses to the protest in Baramulla.

“I was informed of the people who will attend your Baramulla hearing. Please turn your cameras so that you can see the thousands of people who have travelled here from this lovely valley “Shah replied.

The home minister stopped speaking midway through as Azaan began to play from a nearby mosque as a sign of respect.

“Some claim that we should communicate with Pakistan. Why should we communicate with Pakistan? We won’t converse. We would prefer to speak with Gujjars, Paharis, and Kashmiri youngsters “Says Shah.

When asked how many villages in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir have electrical connections, he responded, “We have made sure that all villages in Kashmir have energy connection during the last three years.”

The Gupkar Alliance, a coalition of the major political parties in the Kashmir Valley, was constantly singled out for criticism by the home minister.

Additionally, he criticised the Nehru-Gandhis, Mehbooba Mufti, Farooq Abdullah, the National Conference leader, and the PDP leader for the underdevelopment of Jammu and Kashmir. He added that terrorism flourished during their control and even assigned blame to them for the Pulwama assault in February 2019 that resulted in the deaths of 40 CRPF members.

Omar Abdullah, the head of the National Conference, retaliated by reminding Mr. Shah that when the Pulwama tragedy occurred, Jammu and Kashmir was directly under central control.

The Home Minister declared that the Narendra Modi administration does not support terrorism and seeks to eradicate it. He declared, “We aim to make Jammu and Kashmir the most tranquil region in the nation.

Mehbooba Mufti engaged in a Twitter fight with the police after she was placed under house arrest and denied access to the Baramulla district’s Pattan as the administration was preoccupied with planning the Home Minister’s rally in Baramulla.

Only vehicles transporting rally attendees were permitted to enter Baramulla after the police issued a traffic advisory.

An unarmed civilian was murdered in Pulwama by police gunfire as the home minister was speaking to the crowd. An unintentional policeman firing, according to the police.

Send in a remark Four terrorists, all of whom were locals, were slain in back-to-back engagements in Shopian, according to the police.
