Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that beginning October 1, the AAP government will only grant electricity subsidies to people who request them. CM Kejriwal stated, “We will give them options whether or not they need an electricity subsidy.”
Consumers in Delhi currently pay “zero” electricity bills up to 200 units per month and receive a Rs.800 subsidy if they use 201 to 400 units per month.
“The Delhi government will now ask residents whether they want to receive electricity subsidies. Only those consumers who choose it will receive the incentive beginning October 1 “During an online briefing, the CM stated.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Cabinet approved a start-up strategy on Thursday, with a 20-member task group to assist young people with financial and procedural assistance in forming businesses. On Thursday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal made the declaration in this regard.
