Bhagwant Mann, the chief minister of Punjab and leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, is getting married for a second time. His first wife and children still reside in the United States, and Mann divorced her six years ago. When Bhagwant Mann took the oath to become the chief minister, both of his kids had attended the swearing-in event.
According to news sources, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s mother, Harpal Kaur, wished for him to remarry. Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, who was apparently the Chief Minister’s mother and sister’s choice, will be the bride-to-be for CM Mann.
Only close family members will attend Bhagwant Mann’s marriage, which will take place in a tiny, private ceremony in his home. Arvind Kejriwal, the convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party and the Chief Minister of Delhi, is also most likely to attend the wedding and bless the happy couple.
48-year-old Bhagwant Mann will wed on July 7 in a private ceremony held at his Chandigarh home, as agreed with his mother and sister.
Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party and the chief minister of Delhi, will also be present at the couple’s private wedding ceremony on Thursday.
Bhagwant Mann, a comedian turned politician, was elected as a Sangrur MP for the first time in 2014. Inderjit Kaur, his ex-wife, also ran a campaign for him. As he became more immersed in politics and was unable to spend time with his family, the pair drifted apart in later years.
