‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2‘ is the sequel to the critically acclaimed 2007 psychological thriller ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa,’ which starred Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, and Shiney Ahuja.
‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, starring Kartik Aaryan, has surpassed the Rs. 100 crore mark, making it the largest opening Bollywood film of the year. The horror comedy has outperformed big-budget films such as ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and ‘Bachchhan Paandey’ at the box office. Within two weeks of its release, the film had amassed a total of Rs 109.92 crore. Kartik shared a photo of himself with a big smile on Instagram to commemorate the occasion. “100 crore wali smile #BhoolBhulaiyaa2,” he wrote beside a heart, folded hands, thumbs up, and smiling emoji.
The film is a horror comedy with a new cast that includes Karthik, Kiara Advani, and Tabu. Anees Bazmee and produced by T-Series and Cine 1 Studios’ Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Anjum Khetani, and Krishan Kumar.
Shehzada, Captain India, Freddy, and Sajid Nadiadwala’s untitled next are among Kartik’s upcoming ventures after ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’.
