During the 2015 tour of North America, an event management business in the USA filed a lawsuit against Kapil Sharma for breach of contract. The comedian only performed five of the six shows for which he was paid, according to a lawsuit SAI USA Inc.
Despite the comedian’s assurances that he would make up for the loss, he hasn’t given the last performance in seven years or given the money back.
The controversy has arisen while Kapil and his cast of The Kapil Sharma Show are currently on a new tour of North America for performances of Kapil Sharma Live.
Kapil has so far performed in Toronto and Vancouver alongside Sumona Chakravarti, Rajiv Thakur, Kiku Sharda, Chandan Prabhakar, and others.
SAI USA Inc, a New Jersey-based company run by Amit Jaitly, posted a report about the incident on Facebook.
Jaitly was quoted by The Times of India as stating, “He did not perform and has not reacted although we tried to get in contact with him before the court.
A New York court is currently hearing the matter.
