Sanjay Raut, the most outspoken representative of government, has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Mumbai tomorrow, while the Mahavikas Aghadi Alliance faces an unclear future due to mutiny by Shiv Sena MLAs. In a case involving his alleged involvement in a money laundering investigation, the ED detectives will examine him.
The Patra Chawl land scam is the subject of the ED case against Raut. The property of Raut was also seized by ED officers in April of this year. After investigators began looking into a Rs 1,040 crore floor space index fraud at Patra Chawal in Mumbai’s Goregaon district, the Shiv Sena troubleshooter came under fire from the ED.
The renegade Sena MLAs have been “threatened” by Sanjay Raut, the Sena spokesperson and Uddhav Thackeray’s top aide, to either return to Mumbai or face terrible consequences.
ED summons, Sanjay Raut took to Twitter and called it an attempt to silence him.
‘Conspiracy against me’, Raut tweeted.
Sanjay Raut is also facing the wrath from several quarters for his offensive & obnoxious comment on rebel MLAs camping in Guwahati hotel.
In an apparent reference to the dissident MLAs, he reportedly stated that 40 bodies will travel from Assam and be sent straight to the mortuary for an autopsy.
Later, when challenged, he claimed that he was talking about the legislators’ “dead conscience” and that they were now “living corpses.”
