The incident occurred on Sunday evening at the Gorakhnath temple which is under high security as it is frequently visited by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who is the head seer.
Murtaza Abbasi, the accused, has been arrested, according to police. Union minister Giriraj Singh reacted to the tragedy by saying that the country’s biggest threat is the “extreme attitude” that led to the attack on security officials at Gorakhnath temple, and he chastised the opposition for its “silence.”
