Jack White Proposes and Gets Married to his Girlfriend, Jack had a tremendous day the other day. Not only did the Detroit rock singer perform the National Anthem at a Detroit Tigers game that night, but he also proposed to Olivia Jean and married her on stage at the Masonic Temple.
During a performance of “Hotel Yorba,” he proposed. She was there because her band was the opening act. Because Jack White doesn’t allow cell phones at his events, we haven’t seen any images of the incident yet, but people in attendance observed it all.
The pair exited the stage after the song and returned with family members. The ceremony was then done by Ben Swank, co-founder of Third Man Records.
Jack White finished his act after the ceremony, concluding with “7 Nation Army.” Best wishes to the happy couple.
“It’s been such a lovely day, mind if we get married right now?” White asked the gathering after popping the question to a stunned Jean and putting a ring on it.
White’s day was jam-packed with activities. He performed the national anthem at the Detroit Tigers season opener and released his solo CD “Fear of the Dawn.” Both White and Jean were born and raised in Detroit.
