A 21-year-old student studying for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test in Chhattisgarh’s Bhilai city committed suicide by hanging himself in his rented room a day before the exam, police said on Sunday.
Police assume that the student committed suicide as a result of stress from the exam.
According to an officer, the event occurred on Saturday at the victim’s leased residence in the Pragati Nagar section of Newai police station limits.
Prabhat Kumar Singh, a native of Bemetara district, had been preparing for the NEET exam at a local coaching institute since September last year.
