PM Modi launches projects worth Rs.75,000 Cr in Maharashtra

The new Vande Bharat Express was set off at Nagpur Railway Station by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is now in Maharashtra to dedicate a number of development projects. Between Nagpur and Bilaspur, India’s sixth Vande Bharat Express will operate. From Freedom Park Metro Station to Khapri Metro Station, Modi also rode the Nagpur Metro.

He also laid the cornerstone for Nagpur Metro Phase II and dedicated Nagpur Metro Phase I to the country.

In addition, PM Modi conducted a visit of the Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg, which connects Nagpur and Shirdi. Additionally, he opened AIIMS Nagpur.

PM Modi laid the cornerstone and dedicated to the nation rail projects totaling more than Rs 1,500 crores at a public event in Nagpur. He also set the cornerstone for the Nagpur-based National Institute of One Health (NIO) and the effort to clean up the Nag River.

The Prime Minister also opened the “Centre for Research, Management and Control of Hemoglobinopathies, Chandrapur” and dedicated the “Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET), Chandrapur” to the country during the event.

He will travel to Goa later in the day to speak at the 9th World Ayurveda Congress’s closing ceremony. The Goa Mopa International Airport will then be opened by him.

“Today, for the first time, there is a government in the country, which has given a human touch to infrastructure projects. The focus of the Government is infrastructure development with a holistic vision and approach,” says PM Modi in Nagpur.
