Rishi Sunak, the prime minister of the United Kingdom, declared on Saturday that he would support England’s cricket team in today’s T20 World Cup championship match against Pakistan.

“Good luck to England Cricket as they take on Pakistan in tomorrow’s T20 World Cup final. Along with every other cricket fan in the UK, I’ll be supporting you. We will support you in every step “Sunak added.

At 1:30 PM (IST) today, the England vs. Pakistan game is scheduled to start at Australia’s Melbourne Cricket Ground. The coin toss will take place 30 minutes before the game begins.

Pakistan overcame New Zealand in the semi-finals, while England defeated India by a margin of 10 wickets to advance to the final.

Since the T20 World Cup’s inception in 2007, Pakistan 2009 and England 2010 have each claimed one victory.
