Shiv Subramaniam passes away, funeral to take place in Mumbai, Veteran screenwriter-actor Shiv Subrahmanyam , known for penning critically-acclaimed films “Parinda”, “1942: A Love Story”, and “Chameli”, has died, filmmaker Hansal Mehta confirmed on Monday.

The last rites of veteran actor Shiv Subramaniam will be conducted at Mokshdham Hindu Shamshanbhoomi, Andheri, Mumbai on Monday morning.

Taking to Instagram, filmmaker Hansal Mehta mourned the demise of Shiv Subramaniam and shared the details of his funeral.

“We regret to notify you of the demise of one of the most dignified and noble spirits to ever occupy human form – our dearest Shiv Subrahmanyam – with deep and heartfelt sorrow. He was a phenomenally talented man who was adored and respected both personally and professionally. We send our profound sympathies to his wife Diyya, her mother, father, Rohan, Rinki, and family; Bhanu chitti and Shiv’s entire family; and his many friends and admirers “Hansal was upset.
