SpiceJet Durgapur flight turbulence, Inside the SpiceJet flight from Mumbai that experienced extreme air turbulence on its approach to the Durgapur airport in West Bengal on Sunday evening, terrifying images have emerged. As the plane passed through the bumpy part, moments of terror were captured on camera, with items thrown on the cabin’s floor and breathing masks dropped. The cabin bags also landed on the people.

At least 15 persons were injured, including 12 passengers and three cabin crew members. According to the aviation authority, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), some of them sustained head injuries and required sutures. A spinal injury has been reported by one of the passengers.

According to a SpiceJet spokesperson, the passengers were offered medical care as soon as they arrived in Durgapur.

“During the fall, there were three jerks. It was a lot more intense than driving in a car “said a passenger with a bandage on his head.

“On May 1, a SpiceJet Boeing B737 aircraft flying SG-945 from Mumbai to Durgapur experienced extreme turbulence during descent, resulting in injuries to a few passengers,” a SpiceJet representative stated.

According to the DGCA, teams are being delegated to conduct regulatory investigations. HN Mishra, Director of Air Safety, will investigate the event. The medical reports of individuals who were hurt are still being awaited.
