Yogi Adityanath meets mother after five years, Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, shared a photo of his 85-year-old mother Savitri Devi blessing him while he was touched by her feet on Wednesday. Yogi visited his native hamlet of Panchur in Pauri Garhwal district on Tuesday for the first time in five years, and the photo titled “Ma” was taken.
Locals sung Pahadi songs and cooked special traditional foods in his honour, and Adityanath received a warm welcome. Yogi will be staying at his village overnight for the first time in 30 years.
COVID restrictions prevented him from visiting his father after his death in April 2020.
At Mahayogi Mentor Gorakhnath Government College in his hometown, Yogi became emotional as he presented a statue of his spiritual guru Mahant Avaidyanath.
“It gives me great joy that I was given the opportunity to honour my professors. I went to school here until Class 9 and then left the city. “It’s unfortunate that the majority of the professors are not with us,” he expressed his disappointment.
