The films Laal Singh Chaddha starring Aamir Khan, and Raksha Bandhan starring Akshay Kumar, have prompted demands for the boycott of other Bollywood productions on social media.
The bilingual sports drama Liger starring Vijay Devarakonda and Ananya Panday has succumbed to the culture of boycott and cancellation yet again.
The Puri Jagannadh-directed movie, which also stars Ramya Krishnan from Baahubali, is Vijay’s Bollywood debut.
A portion of social media users have started using the hashtag Boycott Liger Movie before to its release, just because it was made by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
Additionally, some of them disapprove of the Arjun Reddy actor’s recent interview in which he supported Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha. In response to the Forrest Gump remake boycott, he stated, “Aamir Sir is someone who draws the crowd to the theatres.
I have no idea why a boycott is being called, but please remember that your actions have an impact not just on Aamir Khan but also on the economy. The scope is substantially greater.

A Twitter user urged people to boycott Liger, writing, “I Boycott Liger because of Bollywood. Karan Johar production is Liger.

I endorse this hashtag only because Bollywood mogul Karan Johar doesn’t deserve to have a successful film because he always dominates newcomers, even Kangana Ranaut, who I find to be the least appealing. He also disrespects Hindus, which is unacceptable.

Another user pointed out how Deverakonda reminded them of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, as he too rose to fame despite not having a privileged background.
The user wrote, “#BoycottLigerMovie Before boycotting LIGER movie everyone must think that he is another sushant Singh who also came from Zero background and he faced many obstacles in Telugu film industry. plz think before boycotting his Film. plz don’t spoil his career.
