Many states’ banks will be closed on March 8 (Friday) to commemorate Mahashivratri. The holidays are set by the state governments and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
According to the Reserve Bank of India holiday list, banks across states will close for 14 days in March 2024. In March, many states will have three days of consecutive bank holidays twice, resulting in two lengthy vacation weekends.
These days include every Sunday, the second and fourth Saturdays, public holidays, and a few regional holidays. Bank customers should keep track of the dates of upcoming bank holidays in March so that they may arrange their trips to their bank offices accordingly.
