Ancelotti’s Real Madrid returns to La Liga action against Real Valladolid in an attempt to return to winning ways.

Real Madrid enters this game after losing to archrivals Barcelona in the opening leg of the Cup del Rey. Los Blancos have a strong record against Real Valladolid, being unbeaten in their last 14 games and winning 12 of them. They’ve scored in 44 of the last 45 home meetings against Real Valladolid, with an average of around 2.5 goals per game. Los Merengues will play missing French left-back Mendy, who was injured earlier in the season. Ancelotti’s players have suffered a slump in form, having already lost three La Liga games this season.

Real Valladolid are presently 15th in the league and have lost their previous league game against Athletic Club. While their record versus Real Madrid isn’t great, Valladolid has collected four points in their last four away games, which is the same as their previous 11 away games. They will be attempting to disrupt the Los Blancos’ party and further damage their La Liga campaign.

Real Madrid XI (4-3-3): Courtois; Vazquez, Militao, Alaba, Camavinga, Tchouameni, Kroos, Asensio, Rodrygo, Vinicius, Benzema

Real Valladolid XI (3-5-2): Asenjo, Fresnada, Fernandez, Yamiq, Perez, Mesa, Hongla, Monchu, Rosa, Plata, Leon
