India scored big and made it to the final of the World Cup by beating New Zealand in a nail-biting match at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. They set a huge target of 398 runs for New Zealand to chase.

Virat Kohli scored a historic 50th century in one-day cricket, becoming the second Indian to hit a World Cup century against New Zealand after Sunil Gavaskar. He was supported by Shreyas Iyer,  who played an outstanding innings with 105 off 70 balls.

Mohammed Shami bowled amazingly, taking seven important wickets and stopping New Zealand at 327 runs. India’s start was good with Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill hitting boundaries, but Sharma got out, and Gill had to retire hurt.
