A Facebook post apparently made by Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of imprisoned gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the Sunday morning shooting at Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra, Mumbai.
Anmol, who is wanted for the murder of Punjabi musician Siddhu Moosewala, called the firing a “first and last warning” to Salman Khan. “From now on, no bullets will be fired at walls or empty houses,” he threatened the actor. Anmol is suspected of hiding in Canada, according to police sources.
Officials from Mumbai’s crime bureau confirmed that the Facebook post was being investigation. Around 5 AM, two unidentified motorcycle riders fired five shots at the Bollywood superstar’s Bandra residence before fleeing the scene.

The tweet, which began with “Om” and “Jai Shri Ram,” stated that the assailants had dogs named after Dawood Ibrahim and Chhota Shakeel, whom the actor believed gods. Finally, it mentioned the “Lawrence bishnoi group” and the names of gangsters Goldy Brar, Rohit Godara, and Kala Jathari.
Anmol, who has been charged in 18 criminal charges, served time in the Jodhpur jail before being freed on bail on October 7, 2021. Anmol had obtained a passport from the regional passport office in Delhi using false information. He was also reported to be involved in the Bishnoi gang’s extortion scheme. According to a police source, he frequently relocates between the United States and Canada.
