Private jet carrying 8 crashes at Mumbai airport due to heavy rain

By Archana Ajith

Charter Plane, a Bombardier Learjet, skidded off the runway at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on Thursday. The incident happened at 5:04 pm, during a period of heavy rain.

Onboard the aircraft were 6 passengers and 2 crew members. The crash was caused by the bad weather, which included heavy rain and poor visibility. At the time of the accident, it was tough to see due to the rain, with visibility reduced to about 700 meters.

Out of the 8 people on the plane, 3 were injured. We don’t have detailed information about how badly they were hurt, but they were quickly taken to a nearby hospital for medical care.

After the crash, the airport temporarily stopped all takeoffs and landings. Emergency response teams acted swiftly to make sure everyone was safe.

The accident happened near Runway 27, and the runway was covered with pieces of the damaged plane. However, the airport workers managed to clear the runway of debris, and everything is now back to normal.

The investigation is ongoing to figure out exactly what went wrong and caused the private jet to go off the runway.
