Manipur and PM Modi:
Addressing the no-confidence motion, Rahul Gandhi turned the spotlight on Manipur. He asserted that for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Manipur seemed to be excluded from India. He highlighted the division within Manipur and the consequent erosion of its identity. He went on to say that PM Modi is “Spreading Kerosene Nationwide”, and that the “Nation is burning, mainly Manipur and Haryana.”
Rijiju’s Interruption:
During his speech, BJP MP Kiren Rijiju interrupted Rahul Gandhi and posed a question related to the Congress’s actions in the northeastern region. The interruption led to a brief moment of disruption in the Lok Sabha proceedings.

Rahul Gandhi shared poignant observations, stating that Manipur had been divided, causing immense hardship. He conveyed the message that Manipur’s essence had been compromised, and he went on to say that “Bharat Mata has been killed in Manipur, today my mother is sitting here, and my other mother (Bharat Mata) was killed in Manipur.”
