In the  Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has emerged victorious, surprising many who anticipated a close race.

Shivraj Chouhan, the Chief Minister, expressed gratitude to the voters for the BJP’s overwhelming win, saying, “The reason for this win is the double-engine government and the welfare schemes. These touched the hearts of voters… we will win with a comfortable majority.”

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, instrumental in the Congress exodus that led to the fall of the Kamal Nath government, stood by Chouhan’s confidence in the BJP. “We will wait till the complete results are in. We will form government with complete majority. The people’s faith in PM and the welfare schemes are the reasons for such a mandate,” emphasized Scindia.

The ‘Ladli Behna Yojana,’ a welfare scheme transferring Rs 1250 monthly to eligible women from poor families, played a significant role in the BJP’s victory. Chouhan attributed the win to this scheme, stating, “I give the whole credit to Ladli Behnas for this impressive performance.”

The BJP’s strong win, driven by welfare initiatives and confident leadership, solidifies its hold in Madhya Pradesh, indicating a substantial mandate for BJP in 2024 lok sabha elections.
