After Bharat Mandapam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate another landmark project. On September 17, PM Modi will unveil the International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC), known as YashoBhoomi, in Dwarka, Delhi. This grand facility is set to redefine the world of meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE).
Spanning over 73,000 square meters, YashoBhoomi boasts an impressive array of 15 convention rooms, including a massive auditorium, an elegant ballroom, and 13 meeting rooms, capable of hosting up to 11,000 delegates.
Highlight Features:
1.The main auditorium accommodates up to 6,000 guests and features an innovative seating system for flexible configurations.
2. The stylish ballroom can host around 2,500 guests, with additional open seating for 500 more.
3. Spread across eight floors, the meeting rooms cater to various meeting sizes.
4. YashoBhoomi also boasts one of the world’s largest exhibition halls, covering a vast 1.07 lakh square meters.
5. The grand foyer area includes essential support facilities like media rooms, VVIP lounges, cloakrooms, visitor information centres, and ticketing counters.
YashoBhoomi is not just grand but also environmentally conscious. It features a cutting-edge wastewater treatment system, rainwater harvesting, and rooftop solar panels. In recognition of its green initiatives, the campus has earned the Green Cities Platinum certification from the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC).
The convention centre beautifully integrates elements of Indian culture with terrazzo floors adorned with brass inlay patterns similar to rangoli designs.
To improve accessibility, YashoBhoomi will be connected to the Delhi Airport Metro Express line through a new metro station at Dwarka Sector 25. This extension will reduce travel time from New Delhi to YashoBhoomi to just 21 minutes.
Prime Minister Modi’s inauguration of this state-of-the-art convention centre and enhanced metro connectivity is set to elevate Delhi’s status as a global MICE destination while making travel faster and more convenient for all.
