Raipur 03 March 2024// Personally administers oral vaccines to children in hometown Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai launched the Pulse Polio Immunisation Campaign in Chhattisgarh by personally administering two drops of oral polio vaccine to young children in his hometown of Bagiya on Sunday. Divyansh Yadav, David Sai, and Sheetal Paikra were among those who received the oral vaccines.
Chief Minister Sai stressed the importance of every child’s protection by urging parents to ensure their children receive the “Do Boond Zindagi ki” (polio vaccine).
Meanwhile, the three-day nationwide pulse polio vaccination drive commenced across the country today. On the first day, March 3, children aged 0 to 5 years will receive polio doses at designated polio booths. Subsequently, on March 4 and 5, teams will conduct door-to-door visits to administer polio drops to children who may have been missed. Health centers and Anganwadi centers are serving as polio booths, with teams comprising health workers, Anganwadi workers, and Mitanins who facilitate the administration of polio drops to children.
